The town is well-served by a reliable and efficient public transit system, making it easy to get around without a car. The Roam Transit buses operate year-round and provide access to key attractions within the town as well as popular hiking trails and scenic spots in the surrounding area.
One of the highlights of visiting Banff is strolling through the charming town itself. From boutique shops and art galleries, to cozy cafes and restaurants serving delicious local fare, there’s plenty to see and do within walking distance along the pedestrian-friendly streets.

The Original Calgary to Banff Airport Shuttle
Since 1997, Banff Airporter® has been offering frequent and reliable transportation between Calgary and Banff to locals and visitors alike.
It all started with a simple idea: to shuttle travellers from Calgary Airport to beautiful Banff. At first, it was just two friends, two vans, and two maxed-out credit cards. 25 years on, we’re proud to have established ourselves as an important part of the Bow Valley community.
While we’ve grown in popularity and scale, our core values remain the same: we’re as committed to providing you with safe, reliable and comfortable transportation now as we were on day one. As we continue to expand, Banff Airporter® remains locally-owned, with the customer-centric approach of a small business.

Settlement services in the Bow Valley
Banff Airporter® has been lucky enough to support Settlement Services in the Bow Valley by providing complimentary event transportation for local children during their different projects and events. Transportation has been provided for activities such as after school programs at the library & days at the ski resorts for newly reunited families.
Rundle Mountain Cycle Club – All Mountain Program (AMP)
Banff Airporter® has donated financially to the Canmore based youth mountain bike club, AMP, for the past three years. This money helps offset the cost of the club paying for coaches along with families purchasing jerseys. Banff Airporter supports an active and healthy lifestyle where we are pleased to assist in covering costs to this valuable local program.
Reducing Our Environmental Impact
Taking the shuttle is environmentally friendly by nature. By sharing the journey, you help reduce the number of individual vehicles travelling to Banff National Park.
We’re proud to support Banff & Lake Louise Tourism’s Park Mode initiative, which encourages visitors to make choices that help reduce their impact while enjoying the park.
We further reduce our environmental impact through thoughtful fleet planning, using larger 24-passenger buses when demand is high and smaller 11-passenger buses when loads are lighter.
